HOW TO APPLY FALSE EYELASHES...
Hello diva's...thanks for stopping by :) So, today I'm blogging about eyelashes!! Having long full lashes can make a big difference in your appearance. Glamorous eye lashes can give you that celebrity look that so many of us are seeking after. There are three ways to revamp your lashes besides using mascara. You can apply false eyelashes, recieve lash extensions, or use products to grow your own eye lashes. Today I am going to focus on false lashes. False eyelashes aka falsies are the quickest and cheapest way to change the length and fullness of your lashes. There are so many different kinds and styles to choose from. The price of lashes range from about 5 dollars at the beauty supply store to 15 - 25 dollars at mac. Watch my video and learn how to apply eyelashes.

Short lashes??? No problem...
Hello diva's...thanks for stopping by :) So, today I'm blogging about eyelashes!! Having full eyelashes can make a big difference in your appearance. Some people are born with long, full, curly eyelashes and when it comes to glaming up all they have to do is put some mascara on and they're all set!! You dolls do not have to take heed to anything else on this blog unless you want to be able to share some helpful tips to those who are lacking in the eyelash department.
There are three ways to revamp your eyelashes; fake eyelashes, lash extensions, and using products to grow your eyelashes. Now, before I go any further I must stress that I have only tried the fake eyelashes and plan on trying the lash extension in the near future. I have never used any products to grow my lashes so just take this information with a grain of salt, I am simply providing information but you must do additional research before trying anything for the first time. Now with that said...lets get started!
False eyelashes are the quickest and cheapest way to change your eyelashes. There are so many different kinds and styles of lashes. Lashes range in price, you can get lashes for like 5 bucks at the beauty supply store or spend close to 15 - 25 bucks at mac to get higher quality lashes. The second way to enhance your lashes is with lash extensions...My beautiful fashion forward sister was living in Japan and she got them done. When she came to visit me, I couldn't stop looking at her face because, even though she wasn't wearing makeup there was something glamours about her face...it was the lashes. They look so natural...when done right, and make you look so beautiful. It takes about 1 in a 1/2 hours for the first full set...and then a touch up every 2-3 weeks for about 45 minutes. Now this option is costly atleast 200 dollars(in the dallas/fort worth area) in most salons touch ups ranging from around 50-80 dollars. If you go to youtube and search channel tpfllc, look for the video titled "see how xtreme lashes eye lash extensions are applied". The video will give you some helpful information about the whole process.
If you go to http://www.thelashlounge.com/stores.html you will find the locations of the lash lounge, where they specialize in lash extensions in the dallas/fortworth area.
Finally, the third way to enhance your lashes is with a product. Now from doing some research I discovered a product called Lilash, it comes in a tube like mascara and it promises to help your lashes grow. I must admit I haven't tried this product yet, but I am interested and I may try it in the near future. This is the most permenant way to fix your short wimpy lash problem :) but becareful when in comes to products, there are always side effects or risks one should research before trying it...So my advice to you is to let this be a begining point of your research. Don't take anyones word for it. There was a video I found on youtube that was done by a woman who tried lilash and she had before and after photos...check it out. The channel is Kaywriter, the title is called "Lilash review with before and after pics! Awesome product!"

my favorite hairstyle
HI!! My name is Addie and this is my very first blog! I decided to create a blog so I can share some information other women may be interested in. I am a true girly girl. I love fashion, makeup, hair, anything that can make me look good...and I figured that a lot of women out there may share the same interests as me. The purpose of my blog will be to provide resources on how to obtain that "look" that so many of us are seeking. I also have a youtube channel addie851 and I created 3 videos simply sharing some information regarding my favorite lace front wig. It's the one I'm wearing in my picture and in order to get a full understanding of how I wear it, one would have to watch all three videos in its order. So, since I already have the videos, I decided to do my first blog on lace front wigs. Now for all my non black sisters out there, you too can wear lace front wigs, they look natural and a lot of non black celebrities such as Britney spears wear them. It used to mean that if you wore a wig, you didn't have any hair on your head so you were hiding something ( baldness, short hair, alopecia) ... now a days, people also wear wigs to sort of glam up there look or change their hairstyle without doing anything drastic to their own hair. Now, the trick is to pick a wig that suits your face, style, skin tone, and looks natural.
Now some of you may not know what a lace front wig is. A lace front wig has 3 primary parts, the cap, the hair, and the lace. The cap is the base of the wig that sits on your head, and is what the hair (human or synthetic) is attached to. Now the reason why the wig is called a lace front is because at the front of the cap a lace mesh is attached beyond the wigs hairline. This lace is designed to be trimmed close to the hair-line of the wig. The hairs have been attached giving it an appearance of hair growing straight out of your scalp. Awesome huh :) If you watch my videos you will see the lace and where you should trim it.
The cost of the wig can range depending on the quality, human vs synthetic, and your location. When I lived in los Angeles the synthetic lace front would start around 50-60 dollars. In the Dallas fort worth area, where I currently reside, they start at 40 dollars. Human wigs last longer and cost more. Some lace fronts cost from hundreds to thousands of dollars for one wig. The high cost in these human wigs is partly because some of them are customized to your particular size and style, meaning you order your wig with all the bells and whistles and they create it, like burger king..."have it your way" :) I prefer the synthetic wigs because they're cheap and tend to hold its style better than the non customized human hair wigs (with synthetic wigs you don't have to curl it... it stays curled until of course it gets knotty, or nappy in the back). The down side to synthetic wigs is that they don't really last long, I would say no longer than a month, and one would have to be careful not to sleep in them to give it a long life span. Now, they try to insist that you have to use glue or tape to secure the wig on...but I disagree. If your wig has adjustable tabs, then you don't need to use anything else; that should be enough to secure the wig to your head, trust me, I wear wigs almost every day and I have never had an incident, even on a windy day where my wig came off... but I must say that I would never go to an amusement park and ride a roller coaster if I had a wig on period :) Now in the video I did mention that there were 3 tips to remember when purchasing a wig, and if you don't read the description box then you may have missed them. first, always keep the name tag of the wig you are purchasing because, weeks later you may decide that you really love this wig and when you go back to the store you may forget the brand, model , or color and the wig may be lost forever :( I've had that happen to me before. Second, if you do discover that you really like a wig, purchase it in stock, buy 3 wigs if you can afford it, and then purchase it monthly, so your never out, because sometimes your favorite store will discontinue the wig. Now if your store discontinued the wig, go to another store, or you can always find it yourself online, you just have to know the brand, model, and color :) which brings me back to my first tip (but if the manufacture discontinued it...your out of luck!)!! Finally, I mentioned this before, I suggest that you don't use any glue, or tape. Glue or tape can be damaging to your own hair, and it also will make your wig look dirty on the hairline over time. The beauty of wearing a wig as oppose to weaves is that you can take it off whenever you want and care for your own hair. Besides, if you want your wig to last longer don't sleep in, well, at least don't always sleep in it. Now, sometimes I will sleep in my wig if its brand new and I want to break it in, because when you first take the wig out of the package it has a stiff look and sometimes it takes days of wearing it before it looks like the sample you tried on. So, a couple of days wearing it to sleep is ok in the beginning. Just don't continue to wear it to sleep because it will knot up quickly. I guess that was tip number 4 lol! Sorry chica's, one more tip :) always wear a wig cap, it will help to protect your own hair from breakage that can come from wearing a wig. Underneath my wig I tend to corn roll aka do little baby french braids, which for some reasons help my hair to grow faster :). Then I wear a wig cap and then my lace front over that.
Ok Ladies, since I live in Arlington Texas, I can give you some information on some of the locations I frequently visit when I'm looking for a great lace front wig.

If you don't live in this area and you want to find a lace front wig....your going to have to do some research. Go online and search beauty supply store, or lace front wigs, or ask anyone you see that is wearing a lace front or even extensions. Generally, wigs, weaves, and braiding hair can all be found in the same place. I would not suggest purchasing a wig online, unless you already know what wig you want because you have worn it already and you really like it :) Also check out youtube...there are a lot of wig reviews available to watch!
